The next stop was on the Mediterranean Coast at the Cinque Terre. These five small towns are nestled on a craggy shoreline within about 10 kilometers of each other. There are hiking trails between them and the entire area is a national park, including off shore. We visited all five of the villages and walked most of the distance between them. We stayed a couple of nights at the pleasant Hotel Due Gemelli.

Our last stop was Porto Fino, playground of the rich if not famous.
